ROLE: Early years Indi Kindi Team Leader – Borroloola (remote NT)

We are seeking a full-time Indigenous-identified Team Leader to work in Borroloola, NT to facilitate the delivery and development of the day-to day Indi Kindi program. This role will support our Indi Kindi educators, the majority of which have 5+years of tenure with our program to continue to develop skills, knowledge, and connections within the community in order to assist families to support their children in the transition to preschool.

Seeking an early childhood professional with extensive experience to:

  • Guide and build the capacity of Indi Kindi educators to ensure children are working towards the outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Develop and implement high-quality, innovative and culturally embedded holistic early years programs for children 1-5 years.
  • Assist the team of educators to embed a culture of critical reflection.
  • Support the team of educators to continue to develop skills in fostering community relationships which connect families, and help them transition their children to pre-school.
  • To be a role model to staff, and mentor the team to build personal capacity and resilience.
  • In conjunction with the Indi Kindi Director, continue to develop a framework and key indicators to measure program progress and outcomes.
  • To facilitate best possible outcomes on enrolments, program planning, evaluation, attendance, parental engagement, and integrated delivery with local organisations and services.

Desirable skills and qualities:

  • Tertiary qualification in Early Years Education or Social Work.
  • An early childhood professional with extensive experience to guide and build the capacity of educators to ensure children are working towards the outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Proven experience in leading, developing, and mentoring staff.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

  • National Police Check.

Shared house accommodation is provided by Moriarty Foundation for the Indi Kindi Team Leader position, coupled with a competitive salary package. Contract duration to be discussed with candidates, this can be negotiated dependent upon candidate availability and program requirements.
