ROLE: Team Administrator (part time)

Moriarty Foundation is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Team Administrator to support our Head Office Team to deliver our programs in remote and regional locations.

Reports to: Head of Operations

Location: Crows Nest, Sydney

This is an exciting and varied opportunity for an experienced Administrator / Coordinator to  support our Head Office Team to deliver our John Moriarty Football (JMF), Indi Kindi and JMF Scholarships & Pathways programs to our remote and regional locations. This is a part-time position supporting the team across JMF, Indi Kindi, Scholarships, Development, Operations, Finance  & HR. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will have a proven background in administration and working across multiple deliveries in a deadline-driven environment.

Sydney-headquartered Moriarty Foundation was established in 2012. Its founders are John Moriarty, a Yanyuwa NT man, business owner and the first Indigenous footballer to be selected for Australia, and business owner/author/social investor Ros Moriarty. We enable NT, NSW and QLD Aboriginal communities and families to unlock their children’s potential. We tailor our approach to meet local challenges and needs in communities, with local employment and staff development at the centre of our sustainability.

Moriarty Foundation delivers two programs that follow the whole-of-child life cycle from birth to 18. Indi Kindi (early years program) and John Moriarty Football (football for good and skills  mastery program).

A small, energetic HO team of dedicated staff has successfully established and scaled the organisation’s reach over the past decade, in Borroloola, Robinson River, and Tennant Creek in NT, Kuranda and surrounds in Queensland, and Dubbo and surrounds in NSW. Sydney and community scholarships programs co-exist with grassroots delivery.

Experience & skills:

  • A minimum of four years administration background, with excellent organisational skills in the coordination of multiple deliverables with competing deadlines
  • Experience in dealing with external stakeholders and across functional teams
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite
  • Experience in a Not For Profit environment desirable but not essential
  • Detail oriented with a very high level of accuracy, and capable of working autonomously
  • A commitment to quality while working in a small team environment
  • Systems oriented with advanced proficiency in MS Office on Mac platform
  • Proficient use of databases and a desire to improve systems and processes.

Key duties:

General duties:
  • Provide administrative and office support to the Moriarty Foundation Head Office Team
  • Diary management for CEO.
Program delivery duties:
  • Assisting with administration & project management
  • Administration of scholarship children’s travel & liaison with appropriate government departments
  • Maintenance of Salesforce & Skedulo.
Finance duties:
  • Input invoices into Xero
  • Reconcile expense claims.
Fundraising duties:
  • Administration of donor communications/correspondence
  • Management of contact database.
Operations duties:
  • Travel bookings
  • Vehicle administration (registration, service, lease expiry)
  • Assist with event logistics.
Communications duties:
  • Assisting with researching Awards and speaking opportunities
  • Managing & maintaining media contacts
  • Support preparation of marketing information packs.
HR duties:
  • Populate contracts for review
  • HR filing & documentation as required.

The successful applicant:

An administrative assistant/team coordinator with a proven background, you will be an  excellent verbal and written communicator, maintain the highest ethics, integrity and professionalism, and have a strong team player mindset. You will need to be agile and  comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
