Indigenous Football Week 2025

IFW25 theme

For the 10th anniversary of Indigenous Football Week, the theme is ‘Transforming’, which in the Yanyuwa language of Borroloola, NT is yabimamantharra marringaya awara.

IFW25 will celebrate John Moriarty Football‘s (JMF) capacity to transform lives by creating ripples of change that start with ‘a child, a football, a dream’, and flow outwards to impact families, communities and the nation, creating new pathways and unlocking potential.

Since the first IFW in 2016, JMF has transformed itself. From a pilot program in Borroloola with 120 children to now reaching annually over 5,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in 15 public schools in 17 remote and regional communities in NT, Qld and NSW.
