About us

Moriarty Foundation is an Aboriginal-established not-for-profit organisation that enables Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to unlock their children’s potential. By embracing the Aboriginal worldview, its locally-led solutions are radically shifting intergenerational disadvantage.

Established in 2012, Moriarty Foundation delivers two groundbreaking and interrelated community initiatives in remote and regional Australia, Indi Kindi and John Moriarty Football.

These locally-led initiatives have a strong focus on building local staff capacity through mentoring, skills development and formal qualifications to develop and sustain employees.

Our local teams are supported by a dedicated administrative team in Sydney and guided locally by Community Advisory Groups made up of local leaders, Elders, Traditional Owners, families and team members.

We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.

My life has changed so much. I’ve become someone that makes me proud. It makes me proud to come to work every day, to drive the bus around and see smiles on kids faces. It makes me really proud because the kids know they’ve got to learn something today.

Deandra McDinny, Indi Kindi educator
