ROLE: JMF Program Manager (Sydney)
June 20, 2025
Sydney-headquartered not-for-profit Moriarty Foundation is transforming life outcomes for a generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth. We enable remote and regional NT, NSW and QLD communities and families to unlock their own children’s potential – with local employment and staff development fundamental to our success.
We have delivered highly effective community-led solutions in early learning and football since 2012. Our founders and co-chairs are Yanyuwa NT man John Moriarty, business owner and the first Indigenous footballer to be selected for Australia, and business owner/author/social investor Ros Moriarty.
Moriarty Foundation delivers two integrated programs that follow the whole-of-child lifecycle from birth to 18 – Indi Kindi and John Moriarty Football (JMF). JMF (for 6-18 year olds) is a football skills mastery program that uses sport to develop talent and positive change, improve school attendance, support school engagement and achieve resilient, healthier outcomes. Daily training and meals are provided by local coaches. Delivery modes include in-school curriculum, after school training, holiday clinics and tournaments, depending on local community needs.
The JMF Program Manager will oversee the delivery and growth of JMF’s football and wellbeing programs for Indigenous children. This role focuses on program management, staff leadership, gender equality outcomes, and stakeholder engagement. The position ensures high-quality program delivery, supports expansion into new communities, and helps manage key projects like Indigenous Football Week. By supporting our coaching teams, and working with schools, local community leaders and football clubs, the role helps create lasting opportunities and brighter futures for Indigenous children through football.
