JMF supports players to compete in Darwin tournament

Congratulations to all the JMF players who represented their schools at the recent School of Sport Education NT annual Inter-Region Football Championships tournament in Darwin.

Supported by our JMF coaches, nine boys and eight girls from Borroloola School and Robinson River School made the 12-hour trip to Darwin to compete in the three-day tournament. Our players were able to hone their skills and deepen their game understanding through competition football.

Special recognition goes to Journey, Shoshonee and Richard who were in contention for regional team consideration!

Tournaments like this provide wonderful opportunities for our young players to practice their skills in a competitive and friendly environment, enjoy new experiences and display the JMF values of Leadership, Teamwork, Resilience and Respect.

A special mention to our four JMF coaches for providing the coaching and mentoring each day, and Robinson River Teacher Assistant, Patsy Ann for chaperoning the students and making this trip a success.

Thank you to Borroloola School and Robinson River School for their support in selecting the talented students and to the students for representing their schools and community with pride and passion.

A very special thanks to McArthur River Mine Community Benefits Trust for the funding to make this trip possible and to help provide competition opportunities to students from Borroloola and Robinson River.
