Overview

Andyamathanha/Narungga man Adam Goodes had a professional AFL career spanning more than 17 years, retiring in September 2015. In 2014 he was named Australian of the Year in recognition for empowering the next generation of Indigenous role models and as an advocate for the fight against racism.

Adam is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium (iDiC) and the Co-Founder of GO Foundation. Adam also sits on the National Indigenous Council, as well as the board of Aboriginal Literacy Foundation and Supply Nation (resigned 2017). He has been an ambassador for many prominent brands; Toyota, David Jones, Qantas and Woolworths. Adam was the Patron of Indigenous Football Week in 2020.
