In a past life, Julia travelled the globe swinging a tennis racquet and competed in 38 countries between 2008–2015 on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tour.

Julia was a recipient of The Roberta Sykes and American Australian Association Scholarship (2017-19), and is a founding member of the LA Collective which seeks to create opportunities for Australian First Nation creatives pursuing careers in Hollywood.
