Andrea Norman celebrates 9 years with Indi Kindi

Indi Kindi educator Andrea Norman

Congratulations to Borroloola early years educator Andrea Norman on her ninth year with Indi Kindi.

Thank you for all your dedication to building the Indi Kindi program, promoting learning, health and wellbeing, bringing language and local traditions into our sessions, and for everything you do to connect children to their community and Country.

Indi Kindi is 100% staffed by local Aboriginal women. Like all our educators, Andrea is a community role model and changemaker and is defying the statistics around Indigenous employment.

More than 40% of our educators have been with Indi Kindi for 4+ years, which is double the average retention rate of childcare workers and exceeds Australian women’s workforce participation figures by more than 40%.
