JMF supports female coaches to attend senior leadership training with Sport NSW
July 31, 2025
Congratulations to JMF Dubbo coaches Tiffany Stanley (Wiradjuri), Natasha Fuller (Wiradjuri/Kamilaroi) and Grace Keller (Kamilaroi) who recently completed a 6-week leadership training course held by Sport NSW.
The course was part of Sport NSW’s Gender Equity and Leadership in Sport Program to equip female and gender diverse leaders in sport with knowledge and skills to progress in roles in senior leadership.
Female representation in football coaching remains disproportionately low compared to other areas of the game. For instance, only 4% of football coaches with a professional ‘C Licence’ or above accreditation are female. Women from CALD backgrounds, including Indigenous women make up an even smaller percentage.
JMF is committed to gender diversity in football. 46% of our coaches are women and 60% of our young participants are girls.
Many of JMF’s female coaches are highly qualified. For instance, Tiffany is one of only a handful of Australian women to hold a professional ‘C’ football coaching licence. Tiffany joined the JMF Dubbo team in 2019 as a community coach. Today as a JMF Head Coach and Mentor in Dubbo and a member of the Indigenous Football Australia Council, she is a senior member of the JMF team.
“JMF has given me the opportunity to develop my skills on and off the field, boost my confidence and grow as a leader. I am excited to grow in my role and become a role model for the other coaches and students coming through the program.” – Wiradjuri woman Tiffany Stanley, JMF Dubbo Coach and Mentor.
Tiffany, Natahsa and Grace are powerful changemakers and role models for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people. Everyday they demonstrate that it is possible to follow your dreams.
